01General Terms
The International Journal of Humanities, Arts, Commerce and Social Sciences (IJHACSS) is an international, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing original scholarship across humanities, arts, commerce and social sciences.
By submitting a manuscript or using journal publication services, authors agree to follow the applicable Terms and Conditions, Author Guidelines, Editorial Policies and ethical requirements. The journal evaluates, requests revision, accepts or rejects submissions under its academic standards. Submission does not guarantee publication.
02Manuscript Submission and Originality
Manuscripts must be original, academically sound and within the journal’s scope. The same or substantially similar manuscript must not be simultaneously under consideration elsewhere. Authors must disclose earlier preprints, working papers, dissertations, conference material or related publications where relevant.
- All listed authors must approve the submission and accept responsibility for their contributions.
- Plagiarism, fabricated data, falsified historical evidence, manipulation of findings and misrepresentation of intellectual work are prohibited.
- Sources, quotations, datasets, illustrations and prior versions must be acknowledged accurately.
03Peer Review and Editorial Decisions
IJHACSS uses a double-blind peer-review process. Research manuscripts proceeding to external review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject specialists.
Decisions consider originality, academic significance, methodological or interpretative rigor, ethical compliance and journal relevance. Final authority rests with the Editor-in-Chief or an authorized editor after review of relevant recommendations.
Neither acceptance nor a fixed decision or publication date is guaranteed. Authors may appeal decisions through the stated Editorial Policies.
04Copyright and Intellectual Property
Under the journal’s proposed author-rights framework, authors retain copyright in their original contributions and grant the journal the appropriate publishing rights through the executed publication agreement.
The intended standard open-access license is Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), with attribution and the applicable license conditions. The actual license of each article is governed by its published license statement and agreement.
Authors must obtain permissions for copyrighted text, photographs, artworks, illustrations, archival materials and other third-party content. Routine copyediting and formatting must not materially change scholarly meaning; substantive changes require appropriate author consultation or approval.
05Article Processing Charges
IJHACSS operates an open-access publishing model supported by the following stated APC schedule:
| Author category | APC |
|---|---|
| Indian Authors | ₹2,000 (INR) |
| Non-Indian Authors | US$70 (USD) |
- There is no manuscript submission fee.
- APCs are payable only after formal acceptance, following official payment instructions and before applicable production steps.
- Payment does not guarantee acceptance or influence peer-review decisions.
- Refund requests, accidental overpayments or duplicate payments are considered under the applicable refund policy and legal obligations. Applicable refund terms should be communicated before payment.
06Manuscript Withdrawal
Before formal acceptance, authors may request withdrawal in writing to the editorial office. The request should include the manuscript ID, reason and agreement of all authors. Authors should await confirmation that the withdrawal has been processed before submitting the manuscript elsewhere.
After acceptance, withdrawal requests are assessed individually in light of production stage, agreements and publication ethics. After publication, concerns are addressed under correction and retraction policies rather than ordinary withdrawal.
07Research Ethics and Author Responsibilities
Authors must comply with applicable institutional and legal standards for studies involving human participants, interviews, surveys, oral histories, community research or confidential information.
- Disclose required ethics approvals, informed consent, funding and competing interests.
- Protect participant privacy and obtain necessary permissions for identifiable information.
- Accurately represent evidence, historical documents, cultural materials and findings.
- Disclose substantial generative AI assistance according to journal policy; human authors remain accountable for the work.
08Publication Integrity and Corrective Actions
The journal may investigate credible concerns involving plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, authorship disputes, unethical practices or other publication misconduct.
Subject to evidence and appropriate procedures, action may include a clarification request, revision, manuscript rejection, correction, Expression of Concern, retraction, or referral of serious concerns to a relevant institution. An allegation alone does not prove wrongdoing; appropriate opportunities to respond should be provided.
09Communication and Publication Responsibilities
Authors must supply accurate contact information and monitor official journal correspondence. The corresponding author coordinates reviewer responses, revisions, proofs and required publication formalities.
Authors must promptly inform the journal of significant errors discovered after publication. The journal aims to communicate in a timely manner but does not guarantee fixed review, production or publication dates.
10Website Use and Limitation of Liability
Material on the IJHACSS website is provided for scholarly, academic and educational purposes. Views and conclusions in signed articles remain those of their authors and do not necessarily represent IJHACSS or its publisher.
The journal endeavors to maintain accurate scholarly records and reliable website services but cannot guarantee uninterrupted technical operation. Any limitation of liability remains subject to applicable law and does not exclude legal responsibilities that cannot be excluded.
11Amendments and Governing Law
IJHACSS may revise these terms to reflect changes in publishing practices, institutional requirements and applicable regulations. Updated versions will be published on the official journal website; material changes affecting existing submissions will be handled consistently with applicable agreements and law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by applicable Indian law. To the extent legally permitted, disputes fall within the jurisdiction of competent courts in Patna, Bihar, India.
