01Our Commitment to Authors

IJHACSS is committed to a fair, transparent and ethical publishing environment. Authors retain legitimate intellectual rights and share responsibility with the journal for the credibility of scholarly communication.

Manuscripts are judged on scholarly merit, originality, relevance, ethical integrity and discipline-appropriate standards, without discrimination or inappropriate financial influence.

02Rights of Authors
  • Fair evaluation: Independent editorial assessment grounded in academic merit and the journal’s stated policies.
  • Confidentiality: Reasonable protection of unpublished manuscripts, author information and confidential editorial correspondence under double-blind review.
  • Communication: Decisions, revision requests and relevant reviewer feedback communicated through authorized journal channels.
  • Appeals: Opportunity to challenge a material factual error, procedural irregularity, demonstrable bias or conflict of interest with supporting reasons.
  • Withdrawal: Opportunity to request withdrawal, subject to confirmation and the journal’s applicable procedures; a request is not effective until confirmed by the editorial office.
  • Intellectual rights: Copyright, attribution and first-publication rights governed by the article’s final signed terms and published license.
  • Scholarly sharing: Sharing of the published work through repositories and scholarly platforms in accordance with the applicable license and third-party rights.
03Originality and Exclusive Submission

Authors must submit original work with a clear scholarly contribution and acknowledge previously disseminated versions, including preprints, theses, conference papers or working papers.

A manuscript must not be under simultaneous consideration at another journal. Reused text, figures, data, archival evidence or creative materials must be properly attributed and authorized where necessary.

04Accuracy, Research Integrity and Evidence

Research data, statistical analyses, interview responses, historical records, translations, artistic documentation and interpretations must be represented honestly. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism and deliberate manipulation are prohibited.

Authors should retain source documentation appropriately and cooperate with reasonable requests to clarify claims, methods, evidence or ethical compliance, while protecting confidential participants.

05Manuscript Preparation and Reporting

Follow the IJHACSS Author Guidelines, including the recommended Microsoft Word format, abstract and keyword requirements, and APA 7th edition citation style.

Explain research objectives, methods or analytical framework, results or arguments, limitations and scholarly contribution in a form suitable to the discipline. Verify quotations, citations, figure captions, source permissions and bibliographic details before submission.

06Authorship, Contributions and Corresponding Author

All listed authors must have made meaningful scholarly contributions and approved the submission and final version. Honorary, ghost and misleading authorship are not acceptable.

The corresponding author should coordinate communications, confirm co-author agreement and disclose relevant contribution details. Changes to authorship after submission require a reasoned request, agreement of affected authors and editorial approval.

07Research Ethics, Privacy and Consent

Authors must obtain institutional ethics approval where required, secure appropriate informed consent, and protect participant privacy and confidential research data.

Publishing identifiable participant photographs, interviews or recordings may require authorization distinct from research participation consent. Researchers using indigenous, cultural or restricted archival materials must respect applicable permissions and community protocols.

08Funding, Competing Interests and AI Disclosure

Disclose research funding, sponsors’ roles, relevant personal, professional or institutional competing interests, and substantial use of generative AI in writing, translation, coding, analysis or images.

AI systems cannot be listed as authors. Human authors must verify references, facts and results and must not disclose confidential research material to third-party AI services without appropriate authorization.

09Responsibilities During Peer Review

Provide an appropriately anonymized review manuscript and separate author-identifying information when requested. Respond courteously and substantively to editor and reviewer comments.

Submit revisions and point-by-point responses within stated deadlines or request an extension. Authors may respectfully dispute reviewer suggestions with evidence-based explanations. An invitation to revise does not guarantee acceptance.

10Editorial Decisions, Appeals and Withdrawal

Authors may seek clarification or appeal a decision on specified substantive or procedural grounds through the editorial office. An appeal is not a guarantee of reversal.

Withdrawal requests should identify the manuscript, reference ID and corresponding author, explain the reason, and reflect agreement of all authors. Authors should await formal confirmation before treating a manuscript as withdrawn or submitting it elsewhere.

11Responsibilities After Acceptance

Verify final title, author names, affiliations, contributions, manuscript text, references, tables and figures. Complete applicable copyright, licensing, ethical and production documentation.

Pay the officially applicable article processing charge only after formal acceptance and through authorized channels. Payment does not influence peer review or guarantee acceptance.

Review proofs carefully and report necessary corrections promptly; material changes to findings, argument or authorship require editorial approval.

12Post-Publication Accountability

Authors must notify the editorial office promptly if they discover material errors or ethical concerns in published work, and cooperate with fair investigations or necessary corrections, expressions of concern or retractions.

Scholarly disagreement and honest error are not automatically misconduct. Responses must be proportionate to evidence and designed to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.
